In Blooket, drop probabilities are independent events. To calculate the Expected Tokens to pull any Rare blook, we use the mathematical formula:
Explanation: If a Rare blook has a 5% drop rate in a 20-token pack, you divide 100 by 5 to get 20 average packs. Multiply 20 packs by the 20-token cost, and your Expected Token investment is 400 tokens. This means on average, a player will spend 400 tokens before pulling that exact Rare.
Best Strategy for Farming Rares
If you're missing multiple Rares to complete your collection, follow this optimized farming strategy:
- Step 1: Check the Stats: Use the table above. Always prioritize opening the pack at the very top of the list—it mathematically yields Rares for the fewest tokens.
- Step 2: Budgeting: Save at least 3x the Expected Token cost. If the expected cost is 200 tokens, don't start opening until you have 600 tokens saved to beat the variance.
- Step 3: Sellback Recycling: Always sell back duplicate Commons. This recovers 5% to 15% of your tokens, giving you extra "free" rolls for the Rare you want.
